Message: My husband and I are long-term trail angels in Idyllwild. (“The General” and “MamaJeannine”). Could you amend my bio to include my husband? We’ve also started a local “Idyllwild Trail Angels” page on FaceBook. Please remove “accepting only female hikers” as we’ve gone coed. đ We also are accepting/mailing packages for hikers since our PO has limited weekend package hours. Also, if you could work in my cell number and that it’s best to text me that would be great. Thank you! Jeannine

Message Body: We live in Idyllwild. Humber Park trail head is a couple miles up the road. I can pick up/drop off from both Humber Park and Paradise Corners in the Anza area. Can offer a hot shower, warm bed (2 guest rooms), and meals if you need a break. Have front loading washer/dryer able to launder sleeping bags. We have a large fenced back yard and can 'host' a campsite if you prefer (no fires.) Don't be shy if you have a specific need. We have a Queensland Heeler so please be dog friendly.

Message Body: Hello!
I have been hosting AT hikers at my home in Huntly, Va for two years. I post on the Facebook page of âWomen Hikers of the Appalachian Trailâ, and I provide sleeping quarters, laundry, dinner al fresco, swimming pool and p/u/ d/o at HWY 522 near Front Royal/Huntly. Hikers can find me on Facebook @ Barry McAlister. My email is [email protected]. Usually, I like to get a text a day before a hiker needs a pick up, but I have been able to accommodate last minute. A small donation always appreciated.

I live a few miles from Northport WA. If you are hiking the PNT and need a place to stay, I have a bedroom with private bath, private water/dryer and private entrance. Just call me and Iâll come fetch you for the short 3.5 mile drive north to our family farm. Iâm a true angel and wonât charge you a dime. Will probably feed you a home cooked meal too. Iâm now 62 and will live vicariously through your adventures. You only have to share your stories of the trail. I also have a cabin on Deep Lake which may be more suitable depending on how many are hiking with you.
Name: Shelli Bordeaux Email:[email protected] Comment: Hello, I subscribed to this list, but was hoping to add my contact as a trail angel. I live about 20 minutes from White Pass. I can offer transportation to our town of Packwood and my guest room. Assistance appreciated, Shelli
Name: Howard Gorin Email:[email protected] Comment: My wife and I live near Washington DC. We can pick up hikers where the Trail crosses I-70 â about 14-15 miles west of Frederick, MD â or at the AT Conservancy HQ in Harpers Ferry, WV and bring them to our home for a few days of respite: a real shower, a comfortable bed, a washing machine and dryer, a chance to rest and catch up on the blog, buy supplies, etc. Pick up on Thursday afternoon only and return to Trail on Sunday. We do need advance notice – three days in advance is preferred – in order to adjust our schedules. Your tales from the Trail are the only “payment” we expect.  Check out my Couchsurfing Profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/rovingrabbi

Name: Ravensong (Carolyn Burkhart) Email:[email protected] Website:http://www.ravensongsroost.com Comment: There is a Hiker’s Hut at my home, with the Mexican room, which leads to the Canadian room with kitchenette. Upstairs in the loft are the sleeping quarters as well as under the pines outside. Ravensong’s Roost is by the junction Highway 20 and Lost River Road to Mazama Store. You can get there via Rainy Pass or Harts Pass. Ravensong, a veteran PCTer from 1976, offers information regarding early winter safety and alternate routes to get to Canadian border. Mazama, is the the northernmost town on the PCT and the place to go to get warmed up and geared up as the North Cascades quickly change to winter conditions.
